MORNING – EL TRIUNFO
Begin the day with a scenic drive through the desert toward El Triunfo, a beautifully preserved former mining town that once stood at the center of Baja's gold and silver industry.
Explore its quiet streets and historic buildings, with time to discover the town's mining heritage, including La Ramona, the iconic brick chimney that has become a symbol of El Triunfo.
SANTIAGO – DESERT OASIS
Continue toward Santiago, one of the region's historic communities and the gateway to the Sierra de la Laguna.
From here, leave the paved road behind and travel by 4x4 toward Cañón de la Zorra and Rancho Ecológico Sol de Mayo. The approach itself becomes part of the adventure as the landscape changes from open desert to a greener mountain oasis.
CAÑÓN DE LA ZORRA – HIDDEN WATERFALL
Follow a short guided trail into the canyon to discover a freshwater oasis surrounded by dramatic rock formations and palms.
Depending on seasonal conditions, enjoy time in the natural pools beneath the waterfall, or simply relax in the shade and take in the peaceful surroundings.

DAY 1 | DESERT OASIS & THE EAST CAPE San José del Cabo → Cañón de la Zorra → Hot Springs → East Cape → Cabo Pulmo
Depart early from San José del Cabo and head into the rugged landscapes of the Sierra de la Laguna.
Our first stop is Cañón de la Zorra, where dramatic rock formations and a natural freshwater pool create a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. After exploring the canyon, continue to nearby natural hot springs for time to soak, relax, and enjoy the contrast of warm mineral-rich waters surrounded by mountains and desert.
From here, continue along the East Cape, following one of Baja’s most scenic coastal routes. The road gradually leaves the developed coastline behind, revealing remote beaches, desert landscapes, and spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez.
Arrive in Cabo Pulmo, a small coastal community known for its remarkable marine ecosystem and laid-back atmosphere. Overnight: Cabo Pulmo
DAY 2 | CABO PULMO & THE SEA OF CORTEZ Cabo Pulmo → Marine Reserve → La Paz
Wake up surrounded by the rugged beauty of Cabo Pulmo and spend the morning exploring its extraordinary marine environment.
Choose between snorkeling or diving in the Cabo Pulmo National Park, home to one of the oldest and most important coral reefs in North America. Beneath the surface, the desert gives way to an entirely different world, with vibrant marine life, schools of tropical fish, rays, turtles, and seasonal encounters with larger species.
After the ocean adventure, continue north toward La Paz, following the coastline and desert landscapes of the East Cape.
Arrive in La Paz in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening along the Sea of Cortez.

Today, trade four wheels for a boat and venture into the Sea of Cortez, Cruise toward Espíritu Santo Island, a spectacular UNESCO-designated natural area known for its volcanic landscapes, turquoise waters, secluded beaches, and abundant marine life.
One of the highlights is a close encounter with the island’s playful California sea lions, with time to snorkel in the clear waters alongside them.

Continue along the scenic East Cape coastline, with opportunities to stop at viewpoints and remote beaches along the way.

DAY 3 – ESPÍRITU SANTO ISLAND
Today, trade four wheels for a boat and venture into the Sea of Cortez for a full-day expedition to Espíritu Santo Island.
Cruise along the island's dramatic volcanic coastline, discovering turquoise waters, secluded coves, hidden beaches, and striking rock formations.
One of the highlights is snorkeling alongside the island's playful California sea lions. After the marine adventure, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on a secluded beach before continuing to explore the island's spectacular surroundings.
Return to La Paz in the afternoon.

DAY 4 – WHALE SHARKS & LA PAZ
Begin the morning with one of Baja's most memorable wildlife experiences: swimming alongside whale sharks in the protected waters of La Paz, in season.
After the excursion, enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your own pace. Explore the historic center, stroll along the malecón, relax at your hotel, or simply enjoy the views of the Sea of Cortez.

DAY 5 – GRAY WHALES AT PUERTO CHALE
Depart early and head south toward Puerto Chale, located within the vast Magdalena Bay lagoon system.
Board a local panga for an intimate encounter with the gray whales that migrate to Baja's Pacific waters during the winter months. These protected lagoons are important breeding and calving grounds, offering an extraordinary opportunity to observe these gentle giants in their natural environment.
After the whale watching experience, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before beginning the return journey.

DAY 2 SAN JOSÉ DEL CABO → LAND'S END → EL TRIUNFO → LA PAZ
Begin your Baja adventure on the water with a boat excursion from Cabo San Lucas to Land's End.
Cruise around the iconic Arch and the dramatic granite formations where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. Keep an eye out for sea lions, seabirds, dolphins and, in season, migrating humpback whales. Leave the coast behind and travel north through the desert to El Triunfo, a former mining town tucked into the Sierra de la Laguna.
Explore its historic streets and remnants of Baja's mining era before continuing toward La Paz as the landscape gradually transforms from rugged mountains to the brilliant blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. Overnight: La Paz
DAY 3 LA PAZ → ESPÍRITU SANTO ISLAND → LA PAZ
Today, venture into the Sea of Cortez on a full-day private expedition to Espíritu Santo Island.
Cruise along the island's volcanic coastline, discovering secluded coves, dramatic red-rock formations and pristine beaches. One of the highlights is an encounter with the island's playful colony of California sea lions, with time to snorkel in the clear waters alongside them.
Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on a secluded beach before continuing to explore the island's spectacular coastline.
Return to La Paz in the late afternoon. Overnight: La Paz
DAY 4 LA PAZ → WHALE SHARKS → SIERRA DE LA GIGANTA → LORETO
Start the day with one of Baja's most extraordinary marine encounters: swimming alongside whale sharks in the protected waters of La Paz, in season.
After the experience, begin the journey north toward Loreto.
The road leads through increasingly remote desert landscapes and into the dramatic Sierra de la Giganta, where rugged mountains rise directly from the Sea of Cortez.
Along the way, there will be opportunities to stop for photographs, explore viewpoints, and experience the changing landscapes of the peninsula.
Arrive in Loreto, one of the oldest settlements in the Californias, and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight: Loreto
DAY 5 LORETO | BLUE WHALES & THE HISTORIC MISSION
Today, venture into the protected waters of Loreto Bay National Marine Park in search of one of the world's most extraordinary marine mammals—the blue whale. Return to Loreto for lunch and a relaxed afternoon exploring the historic center.
Visit the Mission of Our Lady of Loreto, founded in 1697 and considered the first successful Spanish mission in the Californias.
The remainder of the afternoon is free to enjoy Loreto at your own pace. Overnight: Loreto
DAY 6 LORETO → BAHÍA CONCEPCIÓN → MULEGÉ → LA PAZ
Leave Loreto and begin the scenic journey south along the Sea of Cortez.
Stop at Bahía Concepción, one of Baja's most spectacular coastal landscapes, where turquoise bays, white beaches and volcanic mountains meet the desert.
Continue to Mulegé, a lush oasis surrounded by an otherwise arid landscape. Explore the historic mission overlooking the valley and take a short walk through the palm-filled oasis.
From here, continue south toward La Paz, enjoying the changing scenery along the way.
Arrive in La Paz in the late afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening by the Sea of Cortez. Overnight: La Paz
DAY 7 LA PAZ → TODOS SANTOS → SAN JOSÉ DEL CABO
Enjoy a leisurely morning before beginning the final leg of your journey south.
Travel toward Todos Santos, a charming historic town on the Pacific coast known for its art galleries, artisan shops, historic buildings, and creative atmosphere.
Take time for lunch and a relaxed walk through town before continuing toward the Pacific coastline.
Depending on your interests and departure schedule, make a final stop at Punta Lobos, where dramatic cliffs overlook the Pacific Ocean. During the winter months, migrating whales may occasionally be spotted from shore.
Continue to San José del Cabo for hotel or airport drop-off.
