ITINERARY
7:00 AM – Your journey begins early as you depart from La Paz in comfortable transportation. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Baja desert landscape.
9:30 AM – Arrival to Puerto Chale Arrive at the small fishing community of Puerto Chale, and get ready for the whale-watching experience.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Gray Whale Watching. Step aboard and set out into the protected waters where gray whales gather during their migration season.
12:30 PM – Lunch at Local Restaurant After your marine encounter, enjoy a relaxed regional lunch at a local restaurant. Fresh, simple Baja flavors and time to unwind while sharing your experience with your loved ones.
2:00 PM – Return to La Paz Travel back to La Paz. Arrival at your hotel around 4:00 pm.
Gray Whales: An Extraordinary Journey
Every winter, thousands of gray whales arrive in the waters of Baja California after one of the longest migrations on Earth.
Traveling roughly 10,000–12,000 miles each year between their Arctic feeding grounds and the warm waters of Baja, these remarkable whales return to the same region to mate, give birth, and raise their calves.
The latest estimate places the Eastern North Pacific gray whale population at around 17,750 whales. For us, seeing them arrive in Baja is a reminder of just how connected the ocean really is.
